Durable Slate has estimators already in the areas affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Durable Slate specializes in historic slate, tile, and metal roofing installation and repair, as well as masonry repair/restoration using custom matched historic lime mortars. We have extensive experience in working on residential and commercial buildings, as well as churches and historical landmarks. We also have many experiences on historic restoration projects.

Durable Slate also is one of the largest reclaimed slate and tile brokers in the United States. Our large reclaimed slate stockpile and extensive broker network allows us to match nearly any slate or tile you might have on your roof.
In the past, Durable Slate has been a key part in the restoration of historic homes damaged by Hurricane Hugo in Charleston, South Carolina (1989), as well as Hurricane Fran in Wilmington/Raleigh, North Carolina (1996). We have extensive experience in handling insurance claims for all kinds of storm damage.
