Slate Identifier
Although roofing slate is quarried around the world, we typically stock slate from North America - specifically Vermont, Pennsylvania, Virginia and New York.
Most of the slate in our inventory is reclaimed. Reclaimed slate is an excellent product with a long service life. Typically, reclaimed slate is removed from buildings that are either scheduled for demolition or buildings that are being re-roofed with a different roofing material. We save this material from being sent to the landfill, and recycle it instead.
Reclaimed slate is perfect for matching additions or for slate roof repairs. It is also a less expensive material to use for a new slate roof installation.
This beautiful, natural product is available in a range of colors and shapes. We have over one million pieces of slate in stock of various styles, thickness and dimension. NOTE: Colors are approximate. Please contact us for a specific color, shape or size of slate.
