The Holy Ghost Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA was established in 1882 by a group of German and Irish immigrants who sought to create a community of faith in their new home. The church was originally located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, but was later moved to the Seventh Ward neighborhood to accommodate its growing congregation. Over the years, the church has undergone several renovations and expansions, and continues to serve as a center of worship for the local Catholic community.

After Hurricane Katrina damaged this church's copper cupola in 2005, The Durable Slate Company was able to remove the original safely, replicate it down to the smallest detail, and install the new cupola precisely, for a lasting fit.
